[엑스포츠뉴스=정희서 기자] YG’s new boyband iKON will hold a fan meeting in Japan before their official debut.
On August 5, Japan’s Oricon reported, “iKON, a talented new Korean boyband, will have a fan meeting under the name of ‘iKON FAN MEETING 2015 IN JAPAN’.”
The fan meeting will be held twelve times in various Japanese cities including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka from October 10 to October 27.
This is the first event that iKON has held in Japan since the voting event for “MIX & MATCH” in Osaka in October last year. At that time, 40,000 fans gathered to vote on which candidate is going to join iKON, demonstrating iKON’s huge popularity in Japan.
Six members of TEAM B from the Mnet’s survival show “WIN” – namely B.I, BOBBY, KIM JIN WHAN,SONG YUN HYEONG, KOO JUN HOE, and KIM DONG HYUK – plus JUNG CHAN WOO, who joined the group through Mnet’s “MIX & MATCH,” have teamed up to form YG’s new boyband.
Meanwhile, iKON members are currently busy making preparations for their official debut scheduled to be on September 15.
